Thanks to its busy garden terrace, this has long been the main watering hole for the gentrified German Colony. The large salads, served with a basket of rolls and herb butter, are popular. Pastas, crepes, bagels and lox, vegetable pies, focaccia, and sweet potato pancakes (with sour cream) round out the lighter menu. Main courses of pan-fried sea bream or Saint Peter’s fish are new attractions. People come here just to sit and talk over a piece of cake, crepes, or ice cream, while sipping a glass of wine or other alcoholic beverage.
